Play, Share, Heal Counseling Services, LLC
Providing a safe place for children and parents to understand the challenges they have faced and learn ways to live a healthy life.
A children's number one job is to feel comfortable and safe with who they are. This is the foundation for all of their other successes in life, whether it be relationships with their family, learning and behaving in school, or seeking out interests and friends who make them feel good about themselves. Sometimes, things do not go as planned and children are faced with situations that do not make sense to them. The unexpected creates a feeling of being unsafe or unsure of themselves and life will become harder.  Through the process of playing and sharing, equalibrium is restored.
Who I Am
Play, Share, Heal came about after I spent years working with children and families in community settings. More often than not, it was difficult to find clinicians who worked with very young children, and there were always waitlists for services. I decided to create a place where play would be welcomed and shaped to help heal the woes of children and adolescents. I also wanted to provide an opportunity for parents to feel heard and supported as they navigate the role of care giver. There is no manual to raising a child and we often second guess and doubt our every move with our children. The doubt and the worry often take away from the most important part of parenting and shadows over the greatness of our children.
